About our school
Nanjappa Municipal Boys Higher Secondary School is one of the well-known government municipal schools in Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu. Since 1938 we've provided quality education to boys from Tiruppur and surrounding areas, following the Tamil Nadu State Board curriculum in both Tamil and English medium sections.
Managed by the Tiruppur Municipal Corporation, the school focuses on academic excellence, discipline, character development, sports, and preparing students for higher education and competitive opportunities.

Admissions
Middle & Secondary (6-10)
- Visit the school office with the previous school's TC and mark-sheet.
- Fill the municipal admission form (Tamil or English medium).
- Submit Aadhaar copy, address proof and 2 passport photos.
- Class placement is confirmed after a short interaction with the class teacher.
Higher Secondary (11-12)
- Bring your Class 10 mark-sheet and TC to the office.
- Choose a stream — Science, Commerce or Arts.
- Seats are allotted based on Class 10 marks and TN state norms.
- Fees are minimal — this is a government municipal school.

Nanjappa Municipal Boys Higher Secondary School stands in Khaderpet–Rayapuram, one of the oldest quarters of Tiruppur, a city known worldwide for its knitwear industry. Established in 1938, the school began as a municipal boys' institution serving the families of mill workers, weavers and traders, and grew into a full higher secondary school offering education up to Class 12.
The school is administered by the Tiruppur City Municipal Corporation and is recognised under the Department of School Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. It is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu State Board (SSLC and HSC), is co-listed in the national UDISE school register with code 33332204304, and follows the state academic calendar from June to April.
